The CYG group meets at First Church United on Sunday evenings at 6-7:45pm during the school year.
Beginning mid-September, West Liberty School District students in grades 6-12 are encouraged to participate in the Ministerial Association sponsored area Community Youth Group (CYG). Each meeting consists of gathering time, games, worship, large and small group discussion, food and closing prayer. Home cubes and special events happen throughout the year. Cube leaders are adults from various churches who have volunteered for the position.
The CYG high school youth take an annual Mission Trip. The CYG students in grades 6-8 have a shorter mission experience annually (typically one day/one night). Students have had opportunities to help the needy in Colorado, New Mexico, Tennessee, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, Pennsylvania and South Dakota. Helping those less fortunate is the highlight for many students.
Students register for CYG during the 2024-2025 school year by coming to any one of the meeting nights. See you soon!
