Our Church Family

The Disciples of Christ and Presbyterian churches merged in 1974. This union has resulted in a strong ecumenical outlook. Approximately half of the active membership was raised in a denomination other than Disciples or Presbyterian. Most members since the 1974 merger are no longer conscious of two separate congregations, but rather feel themselves a part of one body, First Church United, which is related to two denominations.
